Nursing programs at Colleges or Schools of Nursing last for 3 years, and they do not offer BNSc/BSN, rather they offer Registered Nurse (RN) Certificates or Registered Nurse-Midwifery (RNM) Certificates.
On the other hand, Nursing programs at Universities take 5 years till graduation and 1 year of internship placement at Hospitals. At the end of a nursing program at university, you’ll be awarded a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BNSc) degree.
A BSN or BNSc degree is higher than an RN certificate, with a BSN degree, you can work in most of the nursing sectors in a private or public university, and you will be more competitive than someone with an RN certificate as this makes them less competitive and less employable. Nurses with RN certificates generally earn lower salaries and can not work in most sectors of the nursing field.
